YES WE CAN!!
This slogan taps into the heart and soul of how the Law of Attraction works. The combination of “YES WE CAN!!” and “YES I CAN!!” sends a resounding message to the universe that you’re focused and committed to creating your life. Clearly,
you know that your desire is your destiny, and there is no reason to wait for anyone’s approval or understanding.
This command, whether singular or plural, conveys that the truest revolutions begin within each of us. I know you’ve observed…

I was mad and sad Wednesday when Prop 8 passed. I was resolved that the other propositions would pass, but I was counting on Californians to be smarter, dammit! After a few minutes of sliding into despair, I stopped. I realized that wanting someone else to sanction me and my love was a slippery slope. I know that this yearning is a danger zone, and is completely unnatural. Of course, the ability to create the life, love, and family we desire is the most basic right available to each of us!!
Do…

"It's easier to have what you want, than what you think you can get." Michael Neill
Do you ever wonder if your desires are unrealistic? Do you reduce your standards as your body shows its age, your stocks drop, or when true love seems elusive? I know I occasionally forget that I get to have exactly what I want. Michael's statement above has become my personalized pot of gold lately, inspiring me as I move through my day. Of course I want to share it with you!
Why is it is easier to have exactl…

I think I slid a bit into the “life is serious” myth with out knowing it. There is A LOT of that going around, yes? Clearly, this is a perfect time to get my feel good groove rolling again by diving into my favorite topic. Yes, it’s time to chat about crushes!
Are you wondering if it is prudent to take a break from all the significant events going on to chat about crushes? Please, only take a break from the rest of your life if thinking about a crush puts a smile on your face.
That’s right!…

What if I told you that the answer to ANY of life's inquiries was found within your reply to the question,
"What do I want"?
Yes, I'm suggesting that your desires are the ultimate guide to life - any time, and in any situation. Does this seem radical? Were you taught, like I often was, to think about what others want, what you should want, or that wanting itself, was bad? With so many conflicting messages directed at us, it's easy to understand why identifying what you really want…

Or, What’s a Girl to do in Days Like These?
Lately, I’ve been writing about thriving after a break up, feeling the economy shift, and thinking about earthquakes. Of course, I’m thrilled to share a perspective on upheaval that can support and inspire you to continue deliberately creating the life you desire.
From a law of attraction perspective, you are always creating your experience through the energy your thoughts exude. In other words, your external life experience is a reflection of…

So, I went to Melissa's concert 08/28/2008 the night of Obama's big speech. Melissa said she did not realize this date would be significant but would catch the speech on a re-run.
Her concert was organized on a timeline. I believe Barbra does the same thing during her concerts from what I remember. Anyway, it came to the point in Melissa's life where she reminded us that she was diagnosed with cancer. She said, "I dont have time for cancer!" That gotta laugh out of her audience. Who has time fo…

Jeannette Maw’s GoodVibe Blog entitled “
Drawing the Line on Love” sparked a wonderful forum that explored a range of beliefs related to love and relationships. I encourage you to check it out.
Two quotes, provided by others, especially resonated with me:
“Love isn’t how you feel. It’s what you do.”
Proginoskes the cherubim, in Madeline L’Engle’s A Wind In The Door
“Love is misunderstood to be an emotion;
actually, it i…

Lesssons learned...
In this game called life...
In the end....
Does it really matter if you win?
Nope!
It's how you play the game...
Do you play fair?
Do you treat her right?
Do you know how to give?
To the bitter end?
Do you have what it takes?
To make a true sacrifice of love?
Do you?
Can you put a smile on your lovers face?
Each and every morning?
Can you give, really give?
Without expecting anything in return?
Can you listen, very carefully?
To the silence of her heart beat?
Do you hear he…

7 SECRETS TO BECOME A FLIRTING GODDESS
1. Make Eye Contact.
Your first reaction to this one might be, "duh." And yes,it
SEEMS obvious, but you might be messing this one up without
knowing it.
That's because in order to send an effective signal with eye
contact, you need to hold your gaze longer than might seem
natural. Three whole seconds.
That's ONE one-thousand... TWO one-thousand... THREE one-
thousand.
But then be sure to look away. You don't want to overdo this
one. There's a fine line…

How to Read the Signs
Okay, so you've had your first date, or met someone. Now how do you know if she is really interested in you? Sometimes those signs can be confusing and hard to read. Often, our friends notice the signs before we do.
Some signs to watch for that means she is interested:
She calls you
She tells you she really enjoyed meeting you or the date
She makes an effort to be somewhere that she knows you will be
She looks you in the eyes
When she talks to you, she is fully engaged in…

Lesbian Dating Etiquette
Etiquette is unwritten, but understood acceptable conduct within a society. As in any culture, there are some do's and don'ts for women who date other women. Here are a few...
LESBIAN DATING DO'S
Be respectful - with topics of conversation and behavior
Be polite - you catch more flies with honey
Be honest - no one likes a liar . If you don't think it worked so well, don't tell her you are going to call and then not.
Be honorable - make sure your date will have a safe co…

Where to Go & What to Do
Now you have asked her out, and she said yes. You have done your victory dance and pranced around your living room in your PJs. Now what? Rule number one: Keep it fun and light.
First, let it be said that I firmly believe who ever does the asking, does the paying. DO NOT go on a date and expect your date to pay (even if she makes more money than you) or to pay for part of the date. If she insists, simply tell her this time is your treat, if she wants to go out again…

Lesbian Dating
I admit, the entire scope of women dating women is HUGE. Before you go on a date, you have to figure out how to either approach or be approached. Then, where do you go, what do you do? Who pays? What's the etiquette? Whether you are a long time lesbian dater, or new, I am sure you will pick up a few tips here.
First, there is a definite difference in dating with the straight world and the queer world. In some ways it is easier, and in others it is much harder. There tends to ofte…

Where to Meet Women
If you ask lesbian couples where they met they partners, you will get various responses. Online, a bar, through friends or at work. Some even have very romantic stories, but statistically, most people meet their partners through similar activities. Unless you live in a progressive, open minded community, it might be harder to spot which women are into other women. Not everyone is out at church or work. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
ACTIVITIES:
In just about every…

The Approach
Approaching another woman can be a dance of both of you being too shy. For some reason, the words of Morrissey keep going through my brain: "Ask me. Ask me. Ask me. Because if it's love, then it's the bomb that will bring us together." In other words, what do you have to lose by asking? Still, there are those of you say, "But Softly, that is much easier said than done!" I hear you, my sisters, and I am here to help!
First your approach might change depending on the circumstances of…

Today
For me
Many things have changed
I know who my true friends are in this life
And who most certainly has my back
Thanks to those who have been there for me
In this very different time period of my life
Life sure does change on a dime
At times, doesn't it?
You know blogging is such a different thing
What to reveal
And what not to reveal
Is the question
I am a writer where usually
I am inspired
And it begins to flow thru me like lava
Today is somehow different
Just feeling the need to expres…

I am butterfly
Don't call me by my name
It's who I am
Inside
That counts
I move swiftly
Going where the wind blows
To the east and to the west
I am free
To roam....
The earth is my heavens
Never captured
Or in harms way
I am butterfly
Multi colored
And sexy sexy
As for my name
It's not important
What is important...
Are the imprints
I leave within your mind
Remember me always
As your lover and friend
Taking with you a part of me
Swiftly I move
Across the face of your life
Wondering, to find p…
