3 Things People May Not Know About You...

Let's get to know each other... name five things people might not know about you...

I'll start..

1. Every morning before leaving my house I count five things I need to have with me.
2. I've played on two National Championship teams in two different sports (softball & rugby)
3. I save messages on my cell phone from the most important to me. I have two messages from a friend who died about a year ago. When I hear her messages I feel like she is alive again and for those few minutes I savor it and feel like she is here again...

OK I'll bite:

1. I also save messages from special people, thinking about just what you do. My company automatically deletes them though, so probably won't work for me.
2. I have to fight to overcome a fear of being alone in the woods. I guess because I grew up in a City, which is probably more dangerous in reality.
3. I did not learn to read until 4th grade due to needing glasses. I was behind a grade for this reason and in 3rd grade. They moved me from the middle of 3rd grade to the middle of 4th grade! I would have been illiterate if my sainted mother had not taken her few dollars to put me in a private school, where my reading class of 6 people helped me go from reading almost nothing to an 8th grade level in 1/2 school year. I always remember that when I hear of someone being illiterate. There but for....

1. The most important things I learned as a child I found in fiction.
2. I've written three terrible- to this day not revisited- novels during the yearly, frenzied nanowrimo (national novel writing month)- which I highly recommend participating in though it may lead to insomnia and leaving the house in mismatched socks.
3. I persist in wearing hats that people I love have given me, no matter how silly I look in them.
